I am a little embarrassed that I have not blogged since April. The great news is that I have been super busy with loads and loads of gorgeous squidgy babies and their lovely families and have also had a lot of cake smashes and older babies...but those images are for a different day. I feel very blessed to run such a busy studio and to wake up day after day and love going to work, I know this is not the case for everyone.
This sweet little lass came with her parents from Essex to my Kent studio for her newborn shoot. We had such a fun shoot and they were spoiled for choice. I am really hoping to see little Anaiya and her awesome parents in the future again
It has been a really busy year so far and I once again I am not blogging as often as I would like. On the odd day that I do not have clients in the studio or have a few extra hours I am often prepping, proofing and checking jobs, updating the dairy, responding to emails etc. It seem more important to look provide great service than to blog, although I have such lovely photographs to share.
I am really excited to once again doing the Baby and Toddler show at Sandown Park, Esher this weekend. I have 2 really great show offers, one for those expecting babies and wanting to book in for a newborn shoot and also for those that have babies already.
If you are going to the show over the weekend please pop over to my stand C35 and say hi and have a chat. Look forward to meeting you there.
I photograph loads and loads of teeny tiny little newborns and a whole lot of older babies and toddlers and I guess that is what I am best known for, it is however, not all that I do.
I love it when I get asked to do family shoots with older children, and particularly love it when its the kids purchase a shoot for their folks as a gift. These children wanted to give a shoot to their folks as a present as life is changing and they wanted to get portraits done of them as they are now. I think that is just lovely idea!
I shot Connor's newborn shoot on the afternoon that Kate and William got married on 29 April 2011, it is one of those shoots that I will never forget. At the time, Connors mum had already had a maternity shoot shoot with me. Not long after our shoot they moved to Hertfordshire so I was so please when she got hold of me to say that she wanted to return to my studio to do both a maternity and a newborn shoot with her second baby.
We had fun on both shoots and it was lovely to see them again. On the day of the newborn shoot we had a particularly good time and we got some lovely shots.
I met this family when Theo came for his newborn session in September 2012, we got some great shots back then and I was so pleased when his family contacted me to say she was expecting another baby and wanted to book in a newborn shoot for him. The boys were just great on the day of the shoot and we had such a lovely day. Here are just a few shots from the day.
I am going to be exhibiting at the Excel Baby Show over the next weekend and could not be more excited. The show is on on from 19 - 21 Febuary and I will be on Stand D18. I will have some exciting show offers and would love it if you could pop around for a chat.
I have met so many great families over the years and am so looking forward to meeting a few more.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
This handsome little chap came for his cake smash last year and could not resist blogging his shoot. Here are a few images from his cake smash and also some of his brother and sister.
Little Cayden's mum and dad are both very passionate about their hobbies. His mummy grew up in Chelsfield and loves riding horses and his daddy loves boxing, this always makes for a fun shoot. He was a superstar and we managed to get great portraits of him alone and also with the rest of the family, including his sister Savana. She does a lot of modelling so is really at home and at ease in front of the camera.
This gorgeous little princess, Anaiya first came to me from London when she was in her mummies tummy, she also came as a little newborn and I was thrilled when they returned for her cake smash. Armed with cute little outfits, crowns and a matching cake we had a delightful time and a really fun shoot.
Jade, Ivy's mum, is a super talented and wonderful yoga teacher who runs Jade Pilates from a beautiful purpuse-built studio at her home in Petts Wood. I am very lucky to be attending one of Jade's classes: even after a relatively short time, I am beginning to notice a difference and have a reduction in my aches and pains. Its a really great group of girls who go so I look forward to the class.
I was over the moon when Jade booked her daughter in for a shoot. We had a fun time and got some gorgeous picutes of the Ivy. These are just a few ones I loved from the shoot.
I always love it when my clients bring their pets to the sessions, they are generally a little more chaotic, a little more unpredictable and there is always a lot more cleaning and washing to do at the end of the shoot, but I do enjoy them!!!
This is baby Delilah and Maisey the dog. Maisey was a super star, she was as good as gold and did exactly what we wanted her to do during the shoot. She was so proud and protective of the latest addition to the family and it was heartwarming to watch. Baby Delilah did a great job too and just looks super cute in every shot!
It has been ages since I last blogged and I feel awful about it, I have just had the busiest Christmas ever and there just has not been the time. I have been truly blessed to have had the most wonderful babies and families in the studio over this period and taken some really lovely shots.
In 2013 was lucky enough to do a shoot with the gorgeous Isabella in the run up to Christmas, this year her parents once again travelled from Aversham to my studio in Orpington with their newborn babies Martha and Matilda so I could capture them as teeny tiny little newborns.
They are a lovely family and we had a great shoot.
I am really excited to be exhibiting again at the Baby and Toddler Show at Sandown Park this weekend. I had a little walk around today, and there are some great brands exhibiting and some fab stuff to buy.
The show is on all weekend, 25 - 27 September. My stand number is C35 and I once again have some great offers for those expecting babies and wanting to come for newborn shoots but also for those with older children that are wanting to bring them before Christmas so they can get their pressies for grandparents and families sorted out and possible send out some personalised Christmas cards.
I would love for you to pop round to my stand and have a chat.
Little Evelyn's mummy and daddy travelled from London for their newborn shoot. They wanted some lovely simple shots of her at this stage to help capture her at this special age and for me to ensure that the family portraits were a priority. They were such a wonderful warm family and Evelyn is a lucky little lass to grow up in this family.
