Kind Words

Most of my business comes through recommendations from happy clients, many of whom I’ve photographed through their weddings, pregnancies, christenings and all the precious moments in between as their families grow. This is what makes my work and my life so enjoyable.

Read what they have to say about their experience in front of my camera.

Our journey with Sue started back in 2011. Approximately 35 weeks pregnant, extremely excited but slightly nervous, my husband and I arrived at Sue's London studio for our maternity shoot. Sue's warm and bubbly personality instantly created a relaxed and easy environment in which even my husband – who isn't necessarily too keen on being in front of the camera – felt at ease.

Although our original intention was to only do a maternity and new born shoot, once we saw the fabulous pictures during our first viewing, we instantly knew we wanted Sue to capture more precious moments of Liam as he was growing up. Now, more than 2 years later, we have also done a sitting up, 1 year cake smash and 2 year photo shoot. From these shoots, Sue also created 2 beautiful Christmas cards which we could share with our family and friends.

Not only has Sue's work been exceptional – artistic, honest and intimate – her warm personality, evident love for the job and affection for her sweet little subjects made for fun and unforgettable sessions and provided us with beautiful, timeless works of art that we will cherish forever.

We can't thank you enough Sue and will continue to recommend you to all our friends. Should we be so fortunate, we will undoubtedly see you again for baby number two, although we would need a bigger house as we have already run out of wall space.

Lots of love,

Well what can I say, Sue Greetham has been an amazing photographer and has become a special part of our princesses’ journey over the last 18 months. We met Sue at a baby show and we knew straight away that we would trust her to capture our precious moments with our little Amara Viana. Our first shoot with her was our maternity shoot and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sue was very accommodating of our ideas and we worked together to bring both of our ideas to life.

We then booked our newborn shoot, which for us was breath taking. We got to see our little bundle of joy at her cutest! Sue is very organised and full of creativity which was evident in our newborn shoot. After this I think we almost became addicted to her style of photography and since we have been often. In total, we have had 6 shoots to date. Sue has almost become part of our family. We travel from Stanmore for our shoots but it’s worth it. Sue has taken some amazing pictures of Amara and without her we would have never captured these precious moments!

We count ourselves so fortunate to have attended Sue’s photography shoots in her warm and inviting studio in Orpington. I did extensive research and looked at a number of slightly cheaper and closer photographers but none seemed to have the same quality of work or seemed to capture the same mood as Sue did. I am so pleased with my decision. Even though we travel from the other side of London for each of Una's shoots, each one has been worth the drive and we would never even consider going to another photographer. During this time we completed Una’s 1st year album and bought some gorgeous wall art for our home. I confess that Sue's photographs have been an easy gift to give delighted grandparents for Christmas and birthdays. We see the photographs created over this year and in Una’s album as a worthwhile investment and having each stage of Una’s development that Sue captured, is priceless to us.

We will never get that time back but we’ll always have these gorgeous images to remind us of her at each stage. Sue's shoots are such fun, she has a natural rapport with children and makes the whole experience relaxed and easy going. Thank you Sue!

We have used Sue for portrait and lifestyle shoots for our family over a period of years. Sue has managed to capture the true character of my girls both in the studio and outside having fun.

So often you see photographs of children taken by professional photographers that are lacking depth and a real connection with the subject. Sue connected with my children immediately and made the shoots so much fun for them. The result is a collection of truly beautiful pictures that not only capture the real essence of my girls but also demonstrate Sue's natural artistic flair. The composition and use of light is stunning and we could not be happier.

I visited Sue to arrange for a photo of my 10 month old Jessica and my two step children (11 and 14yrs) as a surprise present for my husbands birthday. The resulting photos were amazing and we have since been back for more!

We received so many lovely comments from everyone from our Christmas card of Jessica and all the grandparents are proud owners of one of Sue's photos. Sue's shoots were great fun and she has an amazing talent at putting children (little and large!) at ease. The results speak for themselves! Would actively encourage anyone to have a shoot with Sue to capture their little ones before they grow up!

Me and my partner are career civil servants and I am currently working in the Cabinet Office. Having met Sue Greetham at the baby show in excel back in 2012, I have been more than thrilled with the service we received. I must say that the hospitality was exceptional, the decor was flawless, her way with children was compelling and Sue's skills and creativity were outstanding. I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone to immortalise the first precious months of their child with Sue Greetham.

Sue Greetham was both patient and flexible waiting for our daughter to be born. When she finally arrived, Sue booked in our special newborn photo session. I was apprehensive at first, not for my 7 day old baby, who I was looking forward to celebrating, but for myself. My birth did not go as planned and I was both sore and tearful from a very difficult experience.

When we all arrived we were offered tea and biscuits, and the environment was so warm and caring. Sue gave us all the time and care we needed, and my husband and I literally stepped back and admired our new baby girl for the first time while Sue wrapped her up in divine softness (colours to suit), and allowed our baby to unfold her own beauty in poses that were so natural to a sleepy newborn. we left feeling full of joy and I felt this was my own first step toward healing. The end result was beautiful and with tears in my eyes we were back at Sue's studio with more tea and biscuits watching our daughter's pictures flash before us. We have returned again and again in her first year for more adoring time at Sue's studios watching Grace grow up.

Sue is now woven into our first baby's life and our joyful experiences with her. Thank you Sue, you are a special photographer, and we look forward to our first birthday photos with you soon.

"In 2011 I collaborated with Sue Greetham for an entry to the Count the Kicks charity calendar. In the end several of Sue's beautiful images were chosen for the calendar (not just of my painted belly!).

For my shoot Sue's mother, Ann Fulton, hand-painted a gorgeous chinese dragon onto my 8 month pregnant belly to represent the Chinese New Year. Then Sue worked her magic with the camera. The result was not only a winner for the calendar and an opportunity to help raise awareness for this charity, but also a beautiful keepsake for me and a chance to meet and work with a lovely and artistic mother-daughter team.

Their attention to detail, sensitive approach and professional work produce stunning mementoes of your special occasions."

I was the lucky winner of the newborn shoot from The Baby Show at The Excel in London 2012, I'd apprehensively entered even though I'd not passed the 12 week safe period, but I was so excited at knowing I had a life out of love growing inside me.

When Sue first contacted me to say I'd won and provisionally book a date I was astounded as had never won a thing in my life but boy this is one prize I will forever cherish in my heart! Sebastian arrived early after a traumatic birth that I wasn't expecting, Sue managed to rearrange things so we could fit in the shoot in the crucial period, upon arrival I was immediately at ease as Sue is so warm and welcoming, (in fact I was so comfy by the end I could have stayed for a nap!).

We were treated more like friends rather than clients which is what new mums and dads need. After some lovely fresh coffee and biscuits that was most definitely needed we picked colours and props for Sebastian and Sue explained step by step what would happen throughout the day, I was amazed by how fantastic she was with Sebastian as I was initially worried as he'd been quite unsettled since his birth. Everything just happened so naturally. Although we were lucky enough to win our shoot and a framed picture we couldn't resist buying prints and also Christmas cards, which our family and friends just loved and I most certainly will be back for the next stage shoot with Sue. I simply cannot recommend her enough to all my mummy and daddy friends and also my new expectant friends too!

Sue, you should be immensely proud of yourself and your work. It is by far, just simply, AMAZING, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. X
